When I click for information about a product, they mention everything including the product’s technical details, pictures, comparison of features with other models of the same product in a tabulated form and details of each of the features on the same page. I didn’t have to click more to learn more about the same thing. Barnes & Noble’s navigation is difficult as compared to that of Amazon but is better than that of Apple. Barnes & Noble displays different subjects of information on different pages. This, in a way, makes the content more organized, though I have to click multiple times which makes it slightly inconvenient. Nevertheless, since all links are arranged on one side of the page, it is not difficult to trace my way back. It’s Also For Me Essay Since I was in prep school, there is always a significant number of people who talk to me in English. And even if it’s not my prime vernacular, I try really hard to converse back. I have to admit that, most of the time, I have difficulties in understanding native English speakers as the use of slang is very popular here in the United States. I got the hang of it, though, by trying to learn the language on my own – whenever my schedule permits. I scan the dictionary every once in a while, read English short stories often, and ask my friends to talk to me in English whenever possible. These are the few ways I dig to acquire competence in writing and speaking in English, not to mention the fact that I never have had an English subject back in elementary and high school. Now that I plan to enter college, I need to pass the University Writing Skills Requirement (UWSR) as a requisite for a baccalaureate degree in my prospect university. This requirement is to measure a student’s competency in English writing. It’s a tough thing for me – that’s a given. But with my determination and persistence to hone my English skills (writing in particular), I am certain that I will be able to go through it and be admitted. Why not? This could also be for me! I want to prove to myself that even if I’m not a native English woman, I can put myself in a position where the natives are in – level myself to them, so to speak. The book takes on five different themes in discussing medicine. First, it discusses the medical establishment, and how it develops over time. Second, it looks at the alternative to established medicine. Alternatives consist of any kind of medical practice outside the orthodox practice of the time. Third, Cassedy explores the science of medicine, taking time to recognize individuals who make significant discoveries in the field of medicine. The role of government in science is the fourth theme studied by Cassedy. The government makes considerable efforts into the regulation of medical practice in America. The final theme is the role of the environment in the health of Americans. In covering these themes, Cassedy breaks American history into four different time periods. The book will best be reviewed by looking at each of thes e time periods, and how they cover the aforementioned themes. Logically, the book begins by discussing the period of time that America is under the control of Britain. The first inhabitants of the continent took a beating from diseases carried by Europeans. Native Americans did not have the immunities instilled in Europeans. Disease is accredited to wiping out nearly 90 percent of Native Americans. The colonies, however, also had to deal with diseases. Very few physicians lived in the colonies due to the fact that Britain was still the mother country. With the medical establishment being as small as it was, the women of the household often took care of the day to day healing. Midwives handled childbirths, and basically anyone with any knowledge of medical literature was considered capable of healing. Some of the common treatments included steam baths, religious rights, and herbal remedies. Surgical methods were basically limited to that of setting bones and pulling teeth. Granted that this book will not win any literary awards in the near future, it is still a well-written tool in beginning one’s research of medicine. He presents his topics in a manner that makes them in teresting, and causes readers to question the past of their medical culture. His choice of themes leaves little to be desired, and he thoroughly discusses each of them in relation to his specified time intervals.

My personal plan is to for me to better myself with my personal and educational goals. With the help of the Career Interests Profiler and Career Plan Building Activity I can identify what I need to work on. Also, they help make my SMART goals, which I think are necessary for me to complete to make my personal plan successful. My SMART goals are; take a Math workshop within the next 2-4 weeks to improve my math skills, take a writing workshop within the next 4-6 weeks to improve my writing skills, find a mentor that is an accountant within the next 6 months, explore the accountant job market within the next 2 months, and to take a study guide workshop within the next 3-5 weeks to improve my study skills. I think that those two results along with my ethics results will help me guide through my academic and personal journey. I also agree with my competency’s results. I think it is more important to work on areas that need improvement then to focus on my strengths I feel as though my Personal Career Interest results were correct. My career results are material recording, scheduling, dispatching, and distributing material recording, secretaries, administrative assistant, and supervisor of an office, administrative support worker and supervisor of sales worker. I also feel as though my results matched my strengths. The results revealed that my strengths are that I am conventional, enterprising, and social. I take my personal education and career goals very serious. I feel as though my goals are what is going to help me succeed in my education and career. My biggest personal education goal is to graduate with a Bachelors in Accounting. Another educational goal I have is to try my hardest to uphold a 3.0 GPA. When it comes to my career goals I know they are ones that I will accomplish, because they are the reason why I am in college. My first career goal is to become an accountant. I think that everyone should have education and career goals, because that is what pushes you to succeed. The academic work that I do for my course assignments are related in some type of way to all my competencies. Anglo-Saxon literature was composed between the years 650 and 1110. Beowulf is one of the most famous epics written during this time. It’s also known as the oldest surviving Germanic epic and the longest Old English poem. Most stories written during this time were about the deeds of warriors, heroic acts, and religion. Beowulf is a warrior from the Geats who is asked to come protect king Hrothgar from an attack by a sea monster named Grendel. All of these characters are men. In this Essay I am going to explain my reasoning behind Ophelia and Gertrude’s connections. Ophelia is a very strange character, masked behind her good looks and charm she is an innocent and sweet girl who loves life. This is a good thing but is also bad. Due to her father realizing this it causes conflict between her father, Polonius and Hamlet. Polonius thinks young Hamlet wants one thing and causes a disturbance in the story. Just like young Ophelia, Gertrude is sought out to be a sweet woman who has her son’s best interest in mind.
